We are thrilled to announce our launch in the City of Lacombe as the sole provider of e-scooters. From April 28, 35 e-scooters will be available to rent, providing locals and visitors with a safe and sustainable way to travel. With successful operations in Red Deer and across Alberta, Lacombe becomes Neuron’s twelfth Canadian city to embrace our safety-first e-scooters. 

Neuron’s e-scooter programs are proven to reduce congestion, improve air quality, as well as help boost the local economies. Since July 2021, our riders in Red Deer have traveled 480,000 km and 43% of trips replaced a car journey, avoiding 33 tonnes of CO2 emissions to date. Neuron’s e-scooter program is also well placed to support Lacombe’s economy as demonstrated in Red Deer where seven in 10 trips result in a purchase at a local business, amounting to an estimated $2.5 million spent each year.

Neuron partners with the Traffic Injury Research Foundation to promote e-scooter safety and research in Canada. Users can visit our online riding school, ScootSafe Academy, for their local riding rules and earn free credits for future rides. Our Safety Ambassadors will also be out in greater numbers at key areas of the city to equip new riders with the confidence to safely ride and park our vehicles.

We have been selected by the City of Oshawa to launch the Durham Region’s first e-scooter program. From April 25, the first of our 250 safety-first e-scooters, which are equipped with the industry’s most advanced e-scooter technology, will be gradually rolled out throughout the year to cover key areas of the neighbourhood.

Beginning today, the first of our 500 safety-first e-scooters and 500 e-bikes will be gradually rolled out throughout the year to cover key areas of the neighbourhood including Uptown Waterloo, Victoria Park and Galt areas.

We have been selected by the Region of Waterloo to launch Canada’s largest single operator micromobility program. In the coming weeks, 500 of Neuron’s purpose-built e-scooters and 500 e-bikes will be gradually rolled out across the region. The program is due to start in April and will be done in close collaboration with the City of Kitchener, City of Cambridge and City of Waterloo.
