Let your family and friends follow your ride for added safety during your trip!

The all-new Follow My Ride feature allows a Neuron user to share their location online, in real time, with someone else during an e-scooter trip

Our Follow My Ride feature is now available across all our Australian and New Zealand cities. This new safety feature compliments Neuron’s existing 000/111 Emergency Button which helps call the emergency services if the e-scooter detects an fall.

The Follow My Ride service was developed by Neuron after discussions with a female focus group, to provide added security while riding e-scooters alone. The feature was innovated to make riders feel more confident and safe during night time trips, while also providing extra reassurance to friends and family.

Neuron users can take advantage of Follow My Ride by simply choosing a contact from their phone to share their location with while on a trip. The sharing status will always be visible in the app, so riders can see whenever they are sharing their location with a friend. The location data is only used during the ride, and sharing can be stopped at any time or stops automatically when a trip has ended.

The service is now available in Brisbane, Darwin, Adelaide and Auckland. With Follow My Ride, users can now ride with confidence knowing a loved one can monitor their trip!

We are back on Adelaide’s streets!

We are back on Adelaide’s streets!

Our distinctive orange e-scooters are back with a range of anti-viral measures.

After a long pause we are delighted to be back on Adelaide’s streets from tomorrow. We’ll be providing a clean, safe and efficient personal transport option, particularly for those people wishing to continue social distancing while traveling in the city.

Riders can rest assured that a range of measures have been introduced to keep our e-scooters clean and to reduce the risks. This includes teams, sanitising around the clock, to make sure our e-scooters are germ-free!

With the restrictions on travel now relaxing, we’re all looking for ways to support local businesses, particularly hard-hit restaurants and cafes. Our e-scooters are the perfect way to regain our freedom, while also staying local.

Despite the reduced risk, we recommend that all riders continue to sanitise their hands before and after touching foreign surfaces and this includes our e-scooters. Also if you feel unwell, please don’t take a trip, instead seek medical advice.

Happy and safe scooting!!

Our Brisbane e-scooters have been approved for another 12 months!

Brisbane City Council has extended the Neuron e-scooter programme for a further 12 months

Great news! Our distinctive orange e-scooters will officially remain on Brisbane streets for another 12 months. Our latest and safest N3 e-scooters have been operating in Brisbane since August 2019 and have since been continually upgraded with a range of innovative features.

Brisbane was the first city to maximise geofencing, allowing control of where and how fast users can ride. Our world-first app-controlled Helmet Lock was also developed after discussions with Brisbane City Council. The feature secures a safety helmet to the e-scooter, electronically releasing it to use at the start of the trip. This innovation was designed to make more helmets available to riders, and since its introduction, helmet usage has increased to over 85 per cent!

Our e-scooters have continued to be available in Brisbane throughout the coronavirus outbreak, with a range of measures to help protect riders and employees. This includes extra sanitisation of e-scooters during daily maintenance, deployment and battery swapping. In support of efforts to combat the spread of coronavirus, we have also been offering free monthly passes to the indispensable public health workers in Brisbane, to help them get where they are needed most.

We’ve seen a range of benefits since our e-scooters were introduced, from helping tourists explore their city, to extending the range of locals so they can further support local businesses. This is crucial as the city begins its economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We look forward to seeing Brisbanites continuing to scoot to their favourite local spots in a safe, convenient and fun way!
