Neuron partners with nonprofits in Korea to promote barrier-free roads for disabled and vulnerable sidewalk users!

The campaign will involve partnerships with Citizens’ Coalition for Safety (CCS) and the Korea Traffic Disabled Association (KTDA)

We have teamed up with our safety partner in Korea, the Citizens’ Coalition for Safety, and also the Korea Traffic Disabled Association to develop a set of guidelines for all e-scooter riders. Our aim is to promote “barrier-free roads” and protect the right to safe sidewalks for all pedestrians, especially for disabled and vulnerable path users.

In June 2021, the Korea Transportation Safety Authority (KTSA) revealed that there are 15.4 million vulnerable pedestrians in Korea, including 2.6 million disabled people, 8.5 million elderly, 3.2 million children under 13, and 2.1 million pregnant women.

To safeguard their safety, we are reminding all e-scooter users to ride safely and park responsibly by following these guidelines. Neuron will continue to work closely with local governments, communities and disabled groups to enhance the safety of both e-scooter users and pedestrians.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do and we look forward to operating our e-scooters in the safest, most responsible way!
