Neuron launches seated e-scooter in Brisbane to improve accessibility

Our seated N4 is expected to appeal to a wider range of demographics, allowing more riders to enjoy the benefits of e-scooters.

The first of up to 500 of our new seated N4 e-scooter launches today. Sharing many of the same features as our flagship N4 model, which first launched on Brisbane’s streets in December 2023 the seated N4 is enhanced to improve comfort and accessibility. It includes a padded seat, a shorter handlebar stem, and a lower centre of gravity to provide better ergonomics, greater stability, and a smoother, more enjoyable ride — especially on longer trips.

These features are designed to appeal to a wider range of riders, including those with reduced mobility and some people who may have previously been reluctant to use the city’s rental e-scooter service. Our market research also suggests it will attract more first-time riders, who may find the seated design more intuitive and less intimidating than traditional stand-up models — particularly for those who have experience riding bicycles.

With 5% of our Australian riders identifying as having a disability or mobility impairment, we’re thrilled that more people from these groups will now have the opportunity to experience the benefits of Brisbane’s world-class rental e-scooter service.
