This Helmet Safety Awareness Week 12 – 27 September, riders can check their helmet, snap a selfie and be rewarded.

A properly fitted helmet should be part of every e-scooter trip. That’s why, for our sixth annual Helmet Safety Awareness Week from 21 to 27 September, 2026, we’re encouraging riders to take our 5-Second Helmet Check before they ride.

It’s simple:

• Fit it: Keep your helmet flat and level, about two fingers above your eyebrows.
• Buckle it: Secure the chin strap, leaving only 1–2 fingers of room.
• Shake it: Give your head a quick shake. If the helmet moves, adjust the fit.
• Snap it: Take your helmet selfie in the Neuron app and you’re ready to ride.

Check your helmet, get rewarded

Riders who complete their helmet selfie, during Helmet Safety Awareness Week, 21–27 September 2026, can receive up to 50 cents off each trip and go into the running to win $500 in Neuron ride credit.

Our Safety Ambassadors will also be out at popular riding locations during Helmet Safety Awareness Week, helping riders with their helmet checks and sharing tips for safer riding.
