Neuron’s distinctive orange e-scooters will soon be arriv h in Western Australia! We have been selected to operate the first ever rental e-scooter programme in The City of Stirl h, located in metropolitan Perth. It will be part of a 12-month tr al which is due to start in early 2022. 

This marks our first location in Western Australia s ce amended regulations support h e-scooters came into effect on 4 December. We were selected for our strong track record of partner h with councils, and for our leadership in safety and innovation. Neuron will invest significantly into the city, creat h approximately 30 jobs which will be recruited locally. 

Riders will benefit from a range of pioneer h safety innovations includ h: the world’s first app-controlled helmet lock which secures a helmet to every e-scooter in between tr ps; topple detection; a 000 emergency button; voice guidance to educate and warn riders on how to ride safely; and a ‘Follow my Ride’ function. Geofenc h technology will also be used to control where e-scooters can be ridden and parked, and how fast they can travel.

Riders will also benefit from Australia’s first – and only – third party rider liability insurance for e-scooters, in a move to protect and reassure riders as well as the wider community.
