Riding Rules

Riders must be 18+ or if in Ottawa 16+ with guardian consent.

No riding on sidewalks. Riding is only allowed on roads limited to 50km/h or less, bicycle lanes and cycle tracks.

Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or any other substance. 

Wear a helmet*, follow the laws and ride carefully and courteously, particularly in busy areas.

Park responsibly, upright and in designated areas or on the kerbside. Don’t obstruct access areas or public amenities.

Penalties may be imposed for dangerous riding and parking violations, including account suspension.

Maintain a safe distance between riders and pedestrians. Don’t tailgate. 

Give way to pedestrians and mobility devices (such as wheelchairs) at all times. 

Only one rider allowed per e-scooter, and no tandem riding with children.

* Every Neuron e-scooter is equipped with a safety helmet. We strongly recommend you wear a helmet to protect yourself.
