Neuron heads to universities in Newcastle and Sunderland on Freshers Week for Student Safe Riding campaign!

The campaign aims to promote safe riding for students to coincide with the start of the UK’s academic year.

As students return to Newcastle and Sunderland to start their academic year, we will be heading down to Northumbria, Newcastle and Sunderland University to share our top tips on safe riding at their Freshers Fairs. Our team will be on the ground conducting safety briefings and promoting Neuron’s riding rules.

First 1,000 riders will also have the opportunity to earn free £4 e-scooter credits by completing a simple Safe Rider Quiz, which is available through Neuron UK’s Facebook and Instagram pages starting 16 September. The Quiz will provide riders with greater knowledge of our safety features as well as our important safe riding tips!

E-scooters are a great way to get to know a city in a safe, sustainable and socially-distanced way. That is why we are also launching a new Student Pass, which results in savings of up to 94% over pay-as-you-go rides. The weekly Student pass is £17.60 and monthly pass a bargain £28.80, and offers unlimited rides for up to 90 minutes per day with no additional unlocking fees. This allows students to explore Newcastle and Sunderland on safety-first e-scooters at an even more affordable rate!

In order to ensure all riders #ScootSafe, our Safety Ambassadors will be out in greater numbers across Newcastle and Sunderland. They will be able to help new riders download and use the app for the first time, as well as highlight our world-leading safety features and safe riding rules.
